The “cat night” in October at which Harvey, Fiona and other guest speakers addressed cat related topics was so successful we intend to hold a repeat in late January or February 2009. If you were one of the people who rang to book after we had allocated all the places then we will contact you when we have finalised a date. We were delighted that Fiona, one of our veterinary nurses, was nominated as a finalist for the Pet Plan Insurance Awards held at the BVNA conference in Kettering on the 11th October 2008. Having previously worked for Norwich Union before becoming a veterinary nurse, Fiona is very well qualified to speak on insurance matters and is available at the practice to answer any insurance realted questions you may have.

From Tuesday the 25th November to Saturday 29th November Tay Valley Vets are offering all rabbit owners the chance to have their rabbit vaccinated against Viral Haemorrhagic Disease for 20% less. VHD is highly infectious and is spread directly and indirectly by insects such as flies. Some cases may be rapidly fatal without prior indication of illness. There is also no treatment effective for this disease so vaccination is strongly advised. If you would like your rabbit protected against this fatal disease please telephone the surgery for an appointment.
